Treating Complex PTSD

Presenter: Dr. J. Eric Gentry, Ph.D., LMHC, F.A.A.E.T.S.While the focus of Trauma Competency for the 21st Century was to acquire the basic skills for treating post traumatic stress, the focus of the Complex PTSD training is acquiring skills for effectively treating those challenging clients with complex post traumatic stress, or C-PTSD. C-PTSD can present with a myriad of difficult symptoms including intense abreactions/flashbacks; severe “depression-like” shutdown and avoidance; dissociation; relational difficulties and challenges; chronic emotional and somatic dysregulation; chronic pain; and psychotic symptoms. This course provides comprehensive presentation of clinical skills for screening/assessing, stabilizing, skills-building, and treating complex post traumatic stress in all its challenging presentations. Focusing upon working in a tri-phasic model, the participant will learn how to titrate treatment to minimize discomfort and crises while, at once, accelerating treatment gains in early, mid and latter stages of treatment. The course provides a balance of current evidence/science-based interventions and protocols paired with experiential practice wisdom from clinicians who have successfully worked with population for decades. Participants completing this course will discover a newfound sense of competency and excitement for working with these clients who, in the past, have baffled even seasoned clinicians.Learning Objectives1. Articulate the differences between simple and complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and identify the distinct challenges for diagnosis, treatment planning, stabilization and treatment of C-PTSD.2. Understand the neurobiology of C-PTSD and how chronic exposure to threatening environments can produce the spectrum of symptoms of C-PTSD3. Appreciate the role that attachment trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) play in risk for and creation of C-PTSD; and how successfully addressing attachment issues can accelerate treatment fo

Stop Bad Habits, Addictions and Self Sabotage in 30 Days

Stop Bad Habits, Addictions and Self Sabotage in 30 Days

Stop Bad Habits, Addictions and Self Sabotage in 30 Days is a practical behaviour change program designed to help you break destructive patterns that run your life on autopilot.Habits shape everything. They determine how you act in business, relationships, health, finances, and personal growth. When habits are destructive, they create procrastination, addiction, excuses, negativity, and self sabotage that keep you stuck no matter how motivated you feel. This program is not about positive thinking, affirmations, mindset tricks, or hoping change happens. It focuses on identifying and rewiring the unconscious defaults that drive behaviour automatically. These defaults are the real reason habits repeat even when you know better. The training teaches how destructive patterns are formed, why humans are wired to repeat behaviour that causes pain, and how to interrupt and replace those patterns deliberately. By changing the defaults rather than fighting willpower battles, lasting change becomes possible. The methods taught in this program were developed through real personal experience and refined through years of working with clients who struggled with addiction, procrastination, emotional avoidance, and chronic self sabotage. The focus is on practical internal change rather than surface motivation. This course guides you through a structured thirty day process designed to help you recognise destructive patterns, understand internal conflict, break cycles of relapse, and stabilise new behaviours. The emphasis is on consistency, awareness, and behavioural control rather than quick motivational spikes. The program is designed for people who have tried self help approaches, affirmations, or traditional mindset work without lasting success and want a more direct and effective way to regain control of habits and behaviour.By the end of the program, the goal is not temporary motivation but a fundamental shift in how your unconscious mind responds to triggers, urges, and emotional

Restoring Trust after Addiction

Restoring Trust after Addiction: Reclaim Your Covenant with Grace and GritIn the quiet aftermath of addiction's storm—where secrets unravel vows, betrayal echoes like a thief in the night, and trust lies shattered like fragile glass—what if the ruins held the seeds of something unbreakable? Restoring Trust after Addiction is more than a course; it's a sacred invitation for Christian couples to journey from devastation to divine renewal, guided by the unyielding hope of a God who specializes in resurrection. Hosted by Ron and Samantha Mosca of A Perfectly Imperfect Marriage, this faith-anchored program draws from their own harrowing testimony of betrayal and recovery, transforming personal pain into a beacon for your path forward.Envision a marriage once fractured by hidden struggles—addiction's grip twisting love into isolation, resentment into walls too high to scale—now reborn as a testament to redemption's power. Ron and Samantha share vulnerably how their crisis tested every fiber of their covenant, yet through surrender to Christ's healing touch, they unearthed tools that mended not just the breaks, but the beauty beneath. This isn't polished theory from afar; it's raw, relatable wisdom forged in the fire, reminding you that addiction doesn't define your story—God's grace does. With an empathetic tone that meets you in the mess, the course whispers encouragement at every turn: You're not alone, you're not irreparable, and your "perfectly imperfect"" union is primed for glory. At its heart
